How/when did you get started in your business? |

I had been designing and making items for myself, family and friends and was always been told, “Hey, you could sell these.” Finally I believed all the peeps and in 2004 applied for a New Entrepreneur Scholarship via Brave Business Enterprise. The course was a great starting point and the people at Brave are ace- I still use their mentoring service and can highly recommend their courses. Ange at Brave has turned into a good mate and should be running her own business making cards.
I became officially self-employed February 2006. To keep afloat, I also do freelance writing, teach workshops and will even wait tables if things get desperate.
